Why We Created Fortitude 50
Fortitude 50 was born from a simple, urgent truth: women over 50 are invisible.
Redundancy hits this age group harder than most, career pathways narrow, and employers often overlook experience in favour of youth. Menopause, midlife transitions, and systemic age bias leave many women feeling undervalued, unheard, and unseen.
Too often, women at this stage of life feel unseen: their skills dismissed, their
potential underestimated, their voices muted.
Why Now

● Age is missing from most DEI strategies, despite older workers being 30%+ of the workforce.
